We're proud to use one of the best face detection algorithms available for fast and accurate performance on mobile devices and we're continually working to optimize the face detection algorithm to improve user experience.

Tips for Optimal Performance

To ensure the pushup counting tool works effectively, please follow these guidelines:

  • Stable Surface: Place your phone on a solid, level surface.

  • Good Lighting: Ensure the area is well-lit.

  • Camera Positioning: Make sure your face is within the camera's view. You can check this by opening your phone’s camera app in the same position to confirm your face is visible.

  • Positioning: Position the phone between your hands so that your face is not out of the frame during pushups.

Possible Reasons for Detection Failure

Here are some common scenarios where the tool might not work as expected:

  • Poor Lighting: Insufficient lighting can prevent the camera from detecting your face.

  • Unstable Surface: Placing your phone on an unstable surface, like a pillow, can cause detection issues.

  • Angled Placement: If your phone is at a slanted angle, it may not capture your face properly.

  • Looking Up: If you're looking up, the camera might not recognize your face and see only your neck.

Although our face detection algorithm is one of the best, no technology is flawless. If the tool misses any pushups, you can manually add them by hitting the "+1" button. However, If you've followed the above guidelines and the tool still isn't working properly, please send us a message right here through the chat icon on the bottom right please or send us an email at [email protected].
